Answers to what people ask before signing up.
Do you send a test email to verify an address?
No. We open an SMTP conversation with the receiving mail server and read its response to the recipient address, then disconnect before any message body is sent. Nothing arrives in the recipient inbox.
What does a "risky" result mean?
Usually a catch-all domain — a server configured to accept mail for every address, so it cannot tell us whether that specific mailbox exists. We flag these separately rather than calling them valid, because sending to them is where surprise bounces come from.
How large a CSV can I upload?
It depends on your plan — from 50 addresses on Free up to 25,000 per upload on Business. Larger lists can be split across multiple jobs, or run through the API in batches.
Do unused verifications roll over?
Monthly plan allowances reset each period and do not roll over. Top-up credits bought separately never expire, and are only spent once the monthly allowance is used up.
What happens if a verification fails?
If our backend cannot complete the check, the credit is refunded to your account automatically. You are only charged for checks that returned a result.
Can I use the API from my own signup form?
Yes — that is what most people do with it. Create an API key from your dashboard, POST the address to /v1/verify, and reject or flag it before the account is created. Keys are stored hashed and can be revoked at any time.
Is my list stored or shared?
Addresses are processed to produce a result and job results are kept so you can retrieve them. Lists are never sold, shared with third parties, or used to train anything.
